However, there are many other vitamins in the market which are considered to be good for the body and help fight the various health issues. The major components which are present in these vitamins include vitamin c, vitamin d, vitamin b complex, and vitamin k. These are considered to be important vitamins for the health of the body. A vitamin a and vitamin k are considered to be essential vitamins that are important for the overall health of an individual.

Vitamin a is considered to be the most important vitamin for maintaining good eye and bone health. It helps in increasing the production of collagen and the production of new cells. This vitamin also helps in preventing the breakdown of bones and joint tissues. It helps in maintaining the balance of glucose in the body and it is thus used as an antidiabetic vitamin. A lack of vitamin a results in weak bones and it can lead to various kinds of diseases like rickets, blindness, and other such diseases.

Too much vitamin a can result in toxicity and this has been the cause of many cases of death in children as well as adults. Foods that contain vitamin d include eggs, milk products and seafood such as cod, tuna, salmon, mussels and shrimp.

Vitamins not only aid in the growth of the body but also maintain the health of the cells. There are different types of vitamins including the water-soluble vitamins which are needed by the body in a greater amount than the fat-soluble vitamins. Water-soluble vitamins must be taken into the body through food or supplements that are taken daily. They also differ in terms of their absorption rate depending on the type of vitamin c, vitamin d and vitamin e that they are made up of. For instance, vitamin c requires the body to assimilate it faster while vitamin d requires the body to absorb it slower.
